In this guide, we’ll show you how to create your own SubWallet account.
Download the app on the App Store or Google Play.
Create a new account.
Agree to the Terms of Use.
Create a secure password.
Note: This password only applies to the device you are currently using. If you access your wallet through another device, you will need to go through the password setup process again, and you may choose to use separate passwords for each device.
Tap on the checkboxes to confirm that you understand how to protect your seed phrase.
Copy your seed phrase in the correct order and keep it somewhere safe where no one can find it.
Important note: Never give out your private key or seed phrase to anyone or any website. If you do so, malicious actors will have complete access to your funds and you may never retrieve them again. It is highly recommended to write your seed phrase down and keep it in a safe and secure place. If you lose your seed phrase, SubWallet won't be able to help you get your wallet back, and your funds will be permanently gone.
Verify your seed phrase by tapping on the words in the correct order.
Re-enter your wallet password to continue.
Congratulations! You have successfully created your Subwallet account. Now you can use it to send, receive, and buy crypto.
On the tokens page, tap “Address.”
Select a token.
Let the sender’s device scan the QR code for your account. You may copy and paste your wallet address or tap the “Share” button instead.
Once the sender has your SubWallet address, they can start sending you crypto.
You may also choose to buy crypto directly through your wallet.
On the tokens page, tap “Buy.”
Select a token.
For this example, we will be using DOT (Polkadot’s native token).
Select a payment service.
For this example, we will use Transak.
Agree to the disclaimer.
Enter the amount, currency, and payment method.
For this example, w will buy DOT using G-cash.
Agree to the terms of service and confirm the transaction.
You will be redirected to Transak. Tap "Continue" and enter the amount you wish to buy.
Enter a valid email address.
Enter the one-time verification code sent to your inbox.
Enter the personal information required, including your name, mobile number, date of birth, and address.
Confirm your order.
Log in to your G-Cash account and confirm the transaction.
Await the confirmation email.
Now you’re ready for the next step — transferring funds to another account.
On the tokens page, tap “Send.”
Select the account you will use.
Select the token and network you will use. Next, paste the recipient’s wallet address or scan their wallet’s QR code.
Enter the exact amount you wish to send.
Approve the transaction.
Enter your password.
Wait for the transaction to finish processing.
For additional details, you may view the transaction through the blockchain explorer.
Congratulations! You have successfully transferred crypto from your SubWallet account.
