Download the Nova Wallet app from Google Play or the App Store..
Create a new wallet.
Name your wallet.
Copy your seed phrase in the correct order and keep it somewhere safe where no one can find it.
Important note: Never give out your private key or seed phrase to anyone or any website. If you do so, malicious actors will have complete access to your funds and you may never retrieve them again. It is highly recommended to write your seed phrase down and keep it in a safe and secure place. If you lose your seed phrase, Nova Wallet won't be able to help you get your wallet back, and your funds will be permanently gone.
Verify your seed phrase by tapping on the words in the correct order.
Create a six-digit PIN code for your wallet.
With your wallet set up, you can now buy, transfer, and stake crypto.
On the Assets page, tap “Receive.”
Select a token.
For this example, we will be using DOT (Polkadot’s native token).
There are two ways you can receive crypto in your wallet. The first is to generate a QR code that can be scanned directly or shared with the sender.
The second option is to copy the wallet address. To do this, tap on your wallet address, then select "Copy address" and share it with the sender.
Once the sender has your Nova Wallet address, they can start sending you crypto.
You may also choose to buy crypto directly through your wallet.
On the assets page, tap "Buy."
Select a token.
For this example, we will use DOT (Polkadot’s native token).
Select a payment gateway.
For this example, we will use Transak.
Enter the amount, currency, and payment method.
For this example, we will buy DOT use G-cash.
Agree to the terms of service and confirm the transaction.
You will be redirected to Transak. Tap “Continue" and enter the amount you wish to buy.
Enter a valid email address and await a verification code.
Enter the verification code sent via email.
Enter the personal information required, including your name, mobile number, date of birth, and address.
Confirm the transaction.
Log in to your G-Cash account (or other source of funds) and confirm the transaction.
Await the confirmation email.
Once your purchase is complete, you’re ready to spend, stake, or transfer the funds to another account.
On the assets page, tap “Send.”
Select a token.
Paste the wallet address of the recipient or scan their QR code.
Confirm the transaction.
You can check the progress of the transaction under the token’s history. Tap the transaction entry to confirm its current status.
