In this guide, you’ll learn how to:
You can keep your OKX Wallet secure by making a backup of your wallet’s seed phrase or private key.
Choose whether to back up your wallet to your Google Drive or to make a manual, offline backup by writing down your seed phrase in a notebook.
Keep your seed phrase in a safe place that you will not misplace and that only you can access.
For this example, we will opt for a manual backup.
To back up your seed phrase, enter your wallet password.
Write down your seed phrase in the correct sequence. Note that if you mix up the sequence of words, you will be unable to log in to your wallet.
Confirm your seed phrase.
Another option is to back up your wallet to your Google Drive. If you choose to enable cloud backup, Google will share your account details with OKX.
Enter the password to your wallet.
Choose a Google account to continue.
Sign in and give OKX access to your Google account.
Tap “Back up now” to continue.
Step 5
Set a password to enable cloud backup.
Congratulations! You have successfully made a cloud backup of your wallet.
Remember, you can opt to delete this from your Google Drive at any time in the future.
